Broadway Club Reopening
16 April 2021
The Committee are very pleased to announce, that barring any further government intervention, The Broadway Club will reopen to members at 1pm on Friday 16 April.
As ever, we will be at the mercy of the English weather, and being mid-April we do not expect the evenings to be very warm. Opening hours will therefore be as follows:
- Friday 13.00 – 22.00
- Sat & Sun 12.00 – 22.00
- Mon – Thur 15.00 – 21.00
Reopening will not be straightforward as socialising can only take place outside until 17 May. Only bar staff will be allowed inside the main part of the club, however customers will be allowed to use the toilets via the front door.
The regulations on Track & Trace have changed from 29 March 2021, and as a hospitality venue we are now required to ensure all visitors check in, not just one per group. The club has always insisted on every member tapping in with their membership card, this will continue but has now become a legal requirement. QR code posters will be displayed around the car park for those wishing to use the NHS app. Please ensure compliance to avoid a potential £1000 fine.
Social distancing measures will remain in place, the bar staff are not there to police this so please use your common sense. You have all been doing this for a year so you know what is expected.
A limited range of draught beers and lagers will be on sale, together with Guinness, cider and a range of bottled beers. Spirits and wines will also be available.
As we are in uncertain times patronage cannot be guaranteed, therefore bar staff will at all times have the opportunity to close early if customer numbers make staying open unviable. So if you’re thinking of wandering up for a pint in the last hour, by all means ring ahead to check the club will be staying open (01252 613512).
There will be the opportunity to redeem points held on your membership card, but the loyalty scheme will not be reinstated in full at present and points will not be awarded for any purchases. We would urge everyone to pay for purchases using debit or credit cards where possible, as this will streamline the ordering process and reduce cash handling for staff.
If all goes to plan, socialising inside will be allowed from 17 May, with full reopening and the removal of all restrictions from 21 June. Reopening in this manner is not without its challenges and we may not get everything right first time, so please bear with us as we look forward to welcoming you back to your club in the very near future.
