SATURDAY 23rd MARCH – FOOTBALL AND PRIVATE FUNCTION

On behalf of the Committee we just wanted to make all members aware that there will be a private function being held in the main room to celebrate what would have been our lovely friend Ian Larkins 60th birthday ðŸŽˆ. Obviously all members are welcome. However this falls on the eve of the football friendly event between England and Brazil.

Can all members then please be aware that the football will still be being shown on the screen in the bar but unfortunately not in the main room.

Many thanks and we hope you all enjoy the evening!

The Broadway Club

The Broadway Club is a thriving club located in the centre of Fleet. We have over 400 members from a wide selection of backgrounds, ages and interests. We run regular events and entertainment (see the Events web page) and have active Snooker, Darts and Golf teams.

Membership runs from 1st January each year. Membership can only be considered if there are places and the prospective member is nominated by a member and seconded by a Committee member.

Club History

About 1906 Mr Dimes built a row of 6 shops and houses on Kings Road between Clarence Road and Albert Street known as Broadway Parade. in 1908 Number 4 was purchased by Mr Redpath who sublet the upper floor to the Broadway Club. The Club itself was located above what are the old Roe Engineering premises and there is still a concrete plinth showing the name of the Parade today.  In 1933 the entire block was put up for sale and shortly after the Club moved to the current site where a dedicated club house was built.
