England play their second Group L match against 2010 quarter finalists Ghana. Ghana were a Luis Suarez handball away from being the first African nation to reach a World Cup semi final, although that honour finally fell to Morocco in 2022. Ghana and England have only faced each other once before, resulting in a 1-1 draw at Wembley in 2011.
